But in Hawkinge, under 2 percent were snapped by the Canterbury Road
camera.
322 were ticketed at Sandgate Esplanade, 244 by the camera on Seabrook
Road and 95 on Littlestone Road in New Romney.
The camera in Hythe, on London Road nabbed 45 and on Canterbury Road,
Hawkinge just 26 motorists were fined.
When asked about the future of the camera on Canterbury
Road, which is no longer the main route through the town following the
opening of Spitfire
Way, a spokeswoman for Kent and Medway Safety Camera
Partnership said: "We are reviewing sites at present to ensure they are
still fit for purpose," but she confirmed that there are no plans to
remove it at present.
