Kent Police is appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision involving two cars yesterday.

The incident occurred on the A2070, Ivychurch at 4.10pm on Thursday, 5 January 2012.

It is reported that a blue Nissan Micra was involved in a collision with a silver Mazda.

The driver of the Nissan, an 81-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the Mazda, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital for treatment to injuries that were described as serious. The passenger of the Mazda, a 20-year-old man, suffered injuries which were believed to be minor.

Police are appealing for information and are keen to speak to the driver of a van who is thought to have stopped at the scene and called the emergency services.
