The man
who died following a crash in High Halden near Ashford last Wednesday
(25 January 2012) has been named as Robert Maycock from Tenterden.

Mr Maycock (63) was driving a
Citroen Xsara on Plurenden Road when he
appears to have left the road and crashed into a tree. No other vehicle
was involved.
Mr Maycock was born in Hertfordshire and went to Trinity College Cambridge
before being awarded a postgraduate in Music at Leeds University.
He went
on to be the
Founding Editor of Classic Music Magazine and was
Music Editor for The Independent.

Robert Maycock, who lived in Tenterden
More recently he became involved in the development of music in Kent
and was co-founder of 'Equator' Festivals and co-director of Shiva Nova.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the car being driven before the collision
and urged
to contact PC David Jeeves at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit
