Following a successful taster day for New Age Kurling at The Hawkinge Community Football and Sports Trust last Friday, evening sessions are being launched on Monday 30 January 2012.

It is understood a club could soon be formed in Hawkinge.

Andy Parker who qualified as a coach will be welcoming people to the sessions at the Football Pavilion off Incinerator Road, Hawkinge on Monday evenings between 7pm and 9.30pm.

There is a small charge of £2 a head.

For more information please contact Andy Parker on 07812110384.

The game is based on the winter version of the game of curling, which is played on ice, but New Age Kurling can be played on any smooth surface.

It is suitable for able bodied, disabled, young and old alike to compete together and has become so popular that it is played in forty seven countries across the globe.
