A man has died following a collision in High Halden near Ashford yesterday (Wednesday 25 January 2012).

The man, who is understood to be aged in his 60s, was driving a Citroen Xsara on Plurenden Road when he appears to have left the road and crashed into a tree.

No other vehicle was involved.

Kent Police was called at 10.40am and officers attended with other emergency services. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
