HEdGe,  the Hawkinge Environment Group will be holding a meeting next week for people interested in the local environment.

The meeting is scheduled for Monday 23rd January at 7.00pm in the Hawkinge Community Centre.

Everyone who is interested in the local countryside and wishes to get involved will be very welcome.

The group have achieved a lot over the last year particularly at Frank  and Betty's Field, off Canterbury Road, but with cut backs deeply affecting conservation work, the natural countryside is increasingly reliant on volunteers such as HEdGe to get involved.
