The school was celebrating its 10th birthday on Thursday (8 September) and more than 400 pupils, past and present gathered in the big top, which was erected on the school's playing field, to be treated to a special performance by the clowns and circus artistes.
A number of parents, governors and staff, with many wearing circus costumes joined in the fun.
Chairman of the governors David McKivett and Cllr Susan Carey
Headteacher Jennie Carter, who has been 'in charge' since the school opened was transformed for the day and became a clown wearing a bright red wig.
The circus was such an enormous success that the school is planning a
return visit in 2013.
