Gazette contributor and freelance photographer Max Hess has reported spotting some strange goings on in Folkestone at the weekend.

He has sent us a photograph capturing a number of men wearing what appear to be nappies, crossing the road outside number 39 Tontine Street.

With the Triennial Fringe taking place he said: "I think it might have been something arty, connected with a block of stone, a length of rope on the pavement, and the shop at number 39, but I'm not really sure."

Perhaps readers can come up with an answer to Mr Hess' question: "Why did the nappy-man cross the road?"
