The year six youngsters enjoyed the experience as they tried their hands at a mini assault course, paintballing, rock climbing, observational skills and working in teams to solve mental and physical problems.
The day at the British Army's Headquarters 2 (South East) Brigade was topped off with a lunch which they cooked themselves from Army ration packs.
They were fascinated to find all the food was "boil in the bag" and each pack contained "windproof" matches and lots of other tricks to help the modern soldier when deployed on operations.

Major Tristan Kemp, who headed up the day, said, "It's fantastic to share with the children some of the fun things we do in the Army. With so many soldiers and their families living within the communities in Dover and Folkestone we're delighted to have this interaction with a local school."
