A friendly ‘Battle’ was fought against Canterbury, Isle of Thanet,
Gateway (Dover) and Deal Camera Clubs, hosted by ourselves, last
Monday, all competing for the Eurotunnel Trophy. |

The hall was packed with members from all five clubs and we all had a
very enjoyable evening.
Our judge was Mr Paul Adams DPAGB, a very competent judge who assessed
the digital images and prints (4 of each from each club) giving each a
point out of 20. These points were then totalled to decide the winner.
The marking was quite close in the end with some brilliant photography,
and Paul then presented the trophy, and our congratulations to the
Chairman of Deal Camera Club, the overall winner..
David Noton, the acclaimed Landscape and Travel Photographer enthralled
the audience at the Tower Theatre last Wednesday, hosted by ourselves.
To a full house of over 100, he presented a wonderful evening, leaving
us all ‘spellbound’.
This Wednesday evening we held our Practical evening where the Driftwood
Folk Band came along and posed under our studio lighting for our members
to practice portraiture. They also entertained us with their great
foot-tapping music!
We are fast approaching the end of the 2010/2011 season with our final
digital image competition next Monday, followed by two themed
competitions the following week – Anyscape Print, and Set Subject
‘Movement’ digital images.
