Minutes of a meeting of Hawkinge Parish Council

Present: Councillor D Callahan (Chairman), Councillors J Heasman, T Hutt, Hilditch, G Hodgson, T Ollerenshaw and C D Tearle.

Apology for Absence: Councillor P Meloy, (unwell)

There were no questions from the public.

898. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.

899. MINUTES
Minutes of the meeting held on 8 December 2010 were submitted, approved as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

900. CASUAL VACANCY
REPORT: A casual vacancy has arisen because Joan Brisley had become automatically disqualified because she had not attended any meetings of the Council for six months. The Council noted that as the vacancy had arisen within six months of the scheduled Parish Council elections the vacancy would not be advertised.

RESOLVED: To receive and note the report and to thank Joan Brisley for the support she had given during the twelve years that she had been a councillor.

901. FINANCIAL MATTERS
The Clerk circulated the schedule of payments to be made following the meeting. A copy of the schedule is attached as Appendix 1.

903. HAWKINGE COMMUNITY FOOTBALL AND SPORTS TRUST – UPDATE 5
Update 5 was presented which detailed the progress of the project.

904. PLANNING MATTERS
The minutes of the meeting of the Planning and Development Committee of 20 December 2010 listing the planning applications received since the last meeting of the Council were presented giving details of the responses for endorsement, sent to the District Council by the Planning and Development Committee.

905. CORRESPONDENCE
