Kent Trading Standards is advising consumers of a food product recall by
The Co-operative Group. |

|
Two batches of its own brand British Beef Roasting Joint (1.1kg to
2.2kg) have been labelled with incorrect 'use by' dates of 22 December
2011 and 23 December 2011. The products should have been labelled with a
‘use by’ date of 5 December 2011.
A use by date is given to highly perishable foods for safety reasons to
indicate when they should be eaten by.
If you’ve bought the affected product, do not eat it. Return it to the
store for a full refund or contact the Co-operative Group on freephone
0800 0686 727.
The Co-operative has recalled the affected batches from stockists.
Customer notices have been displayed in stores, explaining why the
product has been recalled.
No other Co-operative products are known to be affected.
