Dear Editor,
What is happening around Hawkinge? |
 |
|
In the last couple of weeks we have seen the village bus stop window
smashed, Tesco main window smashed and attempted break in.
There was an attempted break in at Lidl, garden sheds have been broken
into and house gutters pulled down with attempted break in.
Now this morning (6 November) Saddlerack's main shop window has been
smashed and attempted break in.
It is bad enough to walk around the village and see broken trees, kicked
over fences and walls, without it spreading to more serious crime.
There are always gangs hanging around the village shops and community
office.
Where are the police/community police at night, why can't these gangs be
dispersed and moved away rather than intimidating people?
I don't know what the answer is.
I know the problem is all through the village but I think installing
CCTV cameras outside the shops may help to identify some of the
culprits.
Does anybody have any ideas how to stop our village being ruined?
Yours
