An amateur
dramatic group in Dover is celebrating its upcoming 50th anniversary
with a re-launch and an appeal for new members. |

The River Dour Players, known as Dour Dramatic Group, normally rehearse
on Tuesday and Thursday and produce two plays a year in April and
November at the village hall in River, with a programme of social events between productions.
The depleted group are particularly keen to hear from any potential new members, as
they are currently limited in the plays that they are able to cast due
to lack of male actors and young adults of either gender.
Anyone wishing to contribute in other ways with productions, such as
backstage, props, prompting, lighting, directing publicity, make up,
front of house or refreshments would also be most welcome.
Casting and rehearsals for 2012 will begin in January.
