Kent firefighters tackled a fire which destroyed a large haystack at St Mary's Bay last night.

The blaze, which was discovered at 7.50pm on Friday (4 November),  took 10 hours to put out.

Crews used jet hoses to tackle the fire which destroyed 175 tonnes of straw.

Fire crews were at the blaze in Jefferson Road, St Mary's Bay  until 7.50, this morning (5 November).

There are no reports of injuries or damage to property.
