Organisers of the planned Shepway Airshow in 2013, have recently
launched a new Facebook page - Shepway Airshow 2013 - to present
official news updates on the current state of planning on both 2012 and
2013 events. |

In addition to regular local news items, photographs and
videos from all the major UK air shows, there are updates and news feeds
from across the international scene.
Until the planned website goes live this Facebook page will be the
official source of news and comment. Hawkinge Gazette readers are invited to
visit the Shepway Airshow 2013 page , ‘Like’ and link to their own
Facebook pages and social networks so that they can make comment or ask
questions.
The most popular features so far are of some spectacular MOD photographs
of the Red Arrows taken from the cockpit during their displays and news
of the reformed 2012 display team, following the tragic accident at
Bournemouth which caused national sorrow and support for the much
respected team.
2013 Organisers say the seaside summer air show is still seen by many
resorts as an important part of their annual tourism and local business
promotion, with UK national events regularly attracting hundreds of
thousands of visitors. Shepway should not miss out on this tourism
potential, bringing additional revenue into the local economy and
promoting the region as a place to visit.
The latest November
news update can be seen on the Info page, with features on the
Wall.
