Hawkinge Deputy Town Mayor Cllr Tony Hutt has received a further accolade for National Coastwatch Institution members in Folkestone.


A Kent County Council Shield to honour the Kent winners of the Queen's Award for Enterprise and the Queen's Award for Volunteering was presented  by KCC Chairman Paulina Stockell on 15 November.

 

Tony received the Shield on behalf of all the Folkestone members at a reception in County Hall, Maidstone.

 

County and Shepway District Councillor, Susan Carey, who nominated National Coastwatch Institution (NCI) in Folkestone for their earlier Award, was also present.

In October, Tony, who is station manager of NCI Folkestone was presented on behalf of members of the Folkestone station of the National Coastwatch Institution, the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service by The Queen's personal representative, The Viscount De L’Isle, MBE, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant for the County of Kent.
