Detectives
investigating the serious assault of a 15-year-old boy in Worthington
Street, Dover last Saturday night (8 October 2011) have charged a man in
connection with the incident. |

Pettman, 19, of Belgrave Road, Dover has been charged with grievous
bodily harm and has been remanded in police custody. He will appear at
Folkestone Magistrates Court on Friday 14 October.
Four other people, three men aged 18, 28 and 31 and a 25-year-old woman
have all been released on bail until 21 November pending further
enquiries.
The injured boy is in a critical condition in Kings College Hospital,
London.
The assault happened in Worthington Street at about 9.45pm on Saturday 8
October as the teenager was waiting for his friend outside a newsagent’s
shop.
It is understood he was approached by another young man and an
altercation took place.
