The Big Lunch at the Westgate Hall in Canterbury on Sunday was hailed as a big success
by the hosts, The Westgate Community Trust.

A street party outside the Hall was entertained by the band Loose
Change, the folk duo Walk Around, and the classical guitarist Mykl,
while they ate their picnics and a hot meal supplied by The Curry Club.
Inside the hall there were stalls, face painting, and more entertainment
supplied by The Katarina Georgiou Band, Salsa-Asi, 5 Star Swing, Cal
Hewitt, and the highlight of the day The Unfinished Theatre Company with
their comedy The Best Panto Ever.
The Workers of Art artists consortium were also present working on their
latest project 'The Westgate Hall is Where I ...", encouraging people to
write about the Hall and the things they do there.
These stories will be
posted on their website, www.workers-of-art.co.uk [4] along with photos of
the people who took part. |
