One
of the most popular annual events in Folkestone is happening in Radnor
Park this coming week, when the famous Moscow State Circus comes to
town. |

The Circus is at Radnor Park from Wednesday 21st until Sunday
the 27th and the Folkestone Carnival Queen Leigh Sinden (16) and her
court have been invited to the evening performance on Saturday
to assist with one of the acts in the Big Top.
Leigh and the court are very excited about taking part in the show and
are counting down the hours.
Miss Folkestone said "Everyone loves going to the Circus, it such an
experience lots of music, bright colours and wonderful performers, there
is no show quite like it, everyone remembers their first trip to the
Circus with such fond memories, everyone should go at least once when
they are a child it is something all the family can enjoy together"
The newly devised show includes The Didyk, a double Russian swing troupe
acrobatically catapulting themselves high into the big top and across
the ring , Gregory's Girls suspended in mid-air on floating silks and
Doctorovs unbelievable Human Statues and breathtaking balancing action
which defy gravity and the laws of physics.
There are award-winning clowns,Valik & Valerik, who have perfected the
art of slapstick and Buster Keaton style cunning capers, Bortnikova body
twisting contortionists. and Kvlividze Troupe on the rotating Wheel of
death.
And don't miss the unbelievable crossbow act of The Popazovs, where you
will see a wife shoot an apple off her husbands head from 7 simultaneous
crossbows.
The Moscow State Circus performances at Radnor Park in Folkestone take
place as follows
Wed to Fri 5pm and 7.45pm
Sat and Mon 3pm and 7.45pm
Sun and Tue 2pm and 5pm
