A
weekend of free events is coming to the Big Screen in Dover Market
Square on 24/25 July when Film All Dover gets ready to roll as part of
the Cultural Olympiad celebrations across the country.

The screen in Dover is showing the hit film Mamma Mia! (PG) at 2pm on
Saturday 24 July, and people everywhere are invited to dress up Abba
style and sing along to the hits.
The Railway Swing Band will also be
performing a free concert of film music from 6pm in the Market Square on
Saturday. On Sunday 25 July, the screen will be showing the comedy Cool Runnings (PG) from 2pm, inviting people to relive the Olympic dream.
The Cultural Olympiad celebrations, which were launched in September
2008, mark the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The Big Screen celebrations also run alongside a free Artists’ Films in
the Grand Shaft event, organized by Dover Arts Development Ltd (DAD),
with films showing in the Grand Shaft at the Western Heights, Dover from
1pm-6pm Saturday and 1pm-5pm on Sunday. |
