of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings star, Orlando Bloom came home to
Canterbury this week to pick up an honorary degree from the University
of Kent. |

The Hollywood
movie star, joined by his fiancée Miranda Kerr, his mother Sonia Copeland Bloom, his
father Colin Stone, and his sister Samantha Bloom took his place
alongside graduates for the ceremony at the City's Cathedral on Tuesday (13 July).
“It’s a really big deal. It’s an exciting day for me. I’m really
honoured to be back in my hometown. I have so many amazing memories of
the cathedral and Canterbury”, he said.
The 33 years old star along with fellow actor David Suchet, known for
his title role in Agatha Christie’s Poirot, the TV adaptation joined 340
graduates at the ceremony. |
