Feel Alive was back at Deal’s Victoria Park on Sunday (6 June), and
despite the rain hundreds of people enjoyed taking part in a fantastic
range of free activities suitable for all ages and abilities. |

The event was
organised by Dover District Council, Vista Leisure and included archery,
badminton, tennis, football, Tai Chi, Karate, New Age Kurling, Boccia
and Table Tennis.
‘Revolution’ ran the show in Deal’s state of the art skate bowl, and
displays were given by ‘Wheel 2 Wheel’- a trial bike team - and dancers
from Deal Dance Centre.
Many of the
district’s other sport clubs provided activities.

Dover District Council’s Sports Development Officer and event organiser
Sarah Philpott said: “The Feel Alive events are about raising awareness
of the many sports and activities that can be done locally, and
encouraging people from one to 80 year olds to participate on a regular
basis and lead a healthy, happy and positive lifestyle.”
Other Feel Alive events this year will take place on Saturday 24 July at
Pencester Gardens in Dover, and on Sunday 15 August at Fowlmead Country
Park near Deal. All events run from 10am to 4pm, and there will the chance to try
many different sports and activities at each event. |
