Dear
Editor,
Following my letter that you kindly printed on 24th February 'Please
support the Hawkinge Posties', I have received several calls to say that
letters have been sent but to date no answers given. |
 |
|
It has also been suggested that the individual letter
could be put on one side and forgotten.
Whilst I cannot give you the answers that you have asked for, I can
tell you that I have given much thought to your concerns and decided that as individual letters remain unanswered the next step is to present Royal Mail with a petition.
The questions that have to be asked are
1. Do you want Postal vans replacing the bicycles?
2. Do you want more motor vehicles on our roads?
3. Do you want to replace our present posties that have served us well
over the past years?
4. Do you want to lose our present posties who have the advantage of
local knowledge?
5. Where are the replies to the many letters sent?
The petition forms will be at the Hawkinge Community Centre and
Serendipity's flower shop as from Tuesday 8 March.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this letter and I ask you to
support the Hawkinge posties .
Regards
Tony Hutt |
