BBC presenter Christine Bleakley, braved strong winds and choppy seas to water ski across the English Channel from Dover to Calais this morning (12 March).

Co-host of "The One Show," took up the challenge to raise money for the Sport Relief charity.

Travelling at around 20mph Bleakley made the crossing in one hour and 40 minutes despite falling off her skis eight times during her arduous feat.

It's reported the Sport Relief Charity will benefit to the tune of around £200,000 from the feat.

The charity invites celebrities to undertake a physically demanding stunt to raise funds to assist the disadvantaged both in the UK and abroad.
