Dear
Editor
Over the past few weeks many of you have expressed your concerns about
the change of our postal services in Hawkinge when later in the year the
Postmen on the bike changes to the Postman in the van. |
 |
|
Concerns that have been raised are from the carbon footprint issue to
the fact that more vehicles will be on the Hawkinge roads.
The excuse from the Post Office is that it is a health and safety
matter.
This may be so in their eyes but to me this health and safety issue is
used so many times that I believe that it is has become a get out clause
if another reason cannot be found.
Apart from this my concern is that when the details of this change
are finalised and published we may find that the POSTIES that have
served us so well over the past few years will be changed and new faces
will appear to deliver our post.
I know many of you have already written to the Post Office raising your
concerns but if you have not here is the address to write to .
Mr Keith Holness,
Delivery Manager,
Royal Mail,
Bouverie Place.
Folkestone ,
Kent

Many thanks for reading this
