Dear Editor,
A 1962 green suburban London double decker bus, along with other class
transport treasures, are scheduled to arrive at Sandgate Road,
Folkestone. |
 |
|
These classic vehicles of yesteryear will be arriving
on Saturday 27th February, weather permitting, between 9.30am and
10.00am, and depart at 3.30pm.
The purpose of this public display is to lift the 1890 Leas Lift
Carriage Restoration Appeal fund.
Other vintage vehicles arriving will include a general Post Office
Morris Minor engineering van, a stunning Citroen car as well as other
exhibits.

The simple message is that our team driving this project
are doing their utmost to restore the town’s iconic step carriage, now
120 years of age, and we are calling upon the community to support it or lose
it.
It’s your heritage!
Donations can be made to bank account number: 21433784, sort code
40-21-15.
Yours indebted,
R Mouland
Treasurer
