Monday 7 September will be the start of the Folkestone Camera Club
new season, which is always a good evening seeing our friends, old and
new, and we also hope to be welcoming new members
|
If you are interested in photography, we
are sure to have something to interest
you. It is a fun and also rewarding
hobby, which is often even better when
sharing it with friends.
The first evening will be our ‘Welcome
Evening’ which will be an opportunity to
find out about our activities including
lectures, competitions, exhibitions,
travelogues, battles, outings,
workshops, practical evenings including
Photoshop. portraiture, audio visual
etc. So if you are interested in
photography, be it any level of
experience or age, do come along for
this informal evening, where our members
will be happy to answer any questions
you may have.
Our club has become very successful, and
with the introduction of digital our
club has grown in number and success
stories, both for the club and
individuals. Although we hear of some
other Camera Clubs folding or struggling
to keep up with membership, we have
increased ours by many in recent years –
mainly due to the digital technology.
Many pf our members photographs, can be
seen on our website at
www.folkestonecameraclub.co.uk [4]
If you have ever come along to our club
and, been disappointed with that
particular evenings presentation, do
please come and ‘try us again’. Our
programme covers many aspects of
photography and we try to suit
everyone's
taste and ability Our motto is ‘We don’t
Teach, But You Learn’. The Programme can
be viewed on our website.
Our meetings are held in St. Georges
Church, Audley Road (on the corner of
Shorncliffe Road, opposite West
Station), Folkestone every Monday
September to May at 7.30 p.m. Further
information can be found on our website
or telephone Jenny Barraclough (Press
Officer) 01303 245399.
