A report in the Folkestone and Hythe
Extra states that The Churchill School
in Haven Drive has one child in the
reception class and another in Year 1
suffering from the illness.
Head teacher, Jennie Carter told the
newspaper that they had put in
extra cleaning at the school and
teaching assistants were going to the
toilets with children to make sure they
washed their hands.
Mrs Carter is reported saying that anyone with the slightest cough was
being sent home and staff who might be
vulnerable due to other health
conditions were being offered Tamiflu.
The newspaper also reported that three Shepway secondary schools have pupils believed to have contracted swine flu. The schools, Brockhill Park has one confirmed and two suspected cases, and at the Folkestone School for Girls and the Marsh Academy, one pupil in each school is showing symptoms but as yet are not confirmed cases.
