The
downturn in the fortunes of many local newspapers doesn't appear to have
hit KOS Media with the launch of two new editions of its 'Your'
midweek free newspaper series for Deal and
Sandwich. |
|
Up to six new jobs including three editorial posts could be created as
the company expands its portfolio of newspaper titles.
But, from this Saturday the Kentish Saturday Observer will
publish its final edition. A rebranded Kent on Saturday will be taking its place.
Managing director Paul Stannard said the new paper would have larger
sections and more of its own editorial content instead of sharing with
its sister Kent on Sunday title.
"The new one is going to have a much bigger sports section compared with
the Kentish Saturday Observer," he told Hold The Front Page website.
KOS Media also publishes 'Your' titles covering Ashford, Canterbury,
Dover, Maidstone, Medway, Shepway, Swale and Thanet, yourkenttv.co.uk
which features videos uploaded by the public and Visit Kent Magazines.
