Hythe Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (HCCT) has published a new
map-guide and a dedicated website to attract visitors and
to help them make the most of their stay.

Twenty thousand copies of the pocket-size, full-colour map-guide will be
distributed from local shops and attractions and also from tourist
information centres across Kent.
Replacing the chamber's traditional annual guide book, the new
publication focuses on information to help visitors find their way to
places of interest, attractions, shopping and recreation areas.
Said chamber chairman Kevin Howell: "The map-guide aims to show how much
there is to see and do in and around Hythe, particularly that our High
Street offers enjoyable shopping and leisure-time experiences as well as
reminders of the town's historic past.
"It describes nine distinctive features and also locates car parks,
toilets, petrol stations and information points - essential to help
visitors enjoy their stay.
"To augment the guide, the chamber has launched its own website -
www.hytheguide.co.uk - which will not only up-date
information but also enable shops and other businesses to promote their
services."
Mr Howell said that the chamber was reviewing its membership benefits
and would shortly launch a campaign to make the local business community
more aware of its work.
Currently, membership was representative of mainly High Street interests
and a new drive would aim to attract out-of-town enterprises. |
