A man has been charged with murdering a woman who was stabbed to death in a house in Greatstone, near New Romney, on Friday (20 November)

The woman, Karren Martin, 28, was treated by paramedics when they were called to Hardy Road, Greatstone on Friday, but later died.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Saturday revealed she died of a single stab wound.

A 43-year-old man from Greatstone, has been charged with her murder and is being held in custody.

He is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on Monday.
