Kent Police have launched a crackdown on the theft of costly heavy machinery from farms and building sites across the county.

The offensive is aimed at  gangs who steal equipment such as forklift trucks and cement mixers which can cost up to £300,000.

Officers will visit sites to offer advice on disabling machinery and using security devices.
