The very successful welcome evening has
been followed by a digital lecture by
Gavin Hoey, and also lectures by Helene
Rodgers and David Mason. Last week some
of our members had a try at judging
another clubs work, which proved to be a
fun evening, whilst showing it is not an
easy task judging other photographers
work.
Our first digital image competition has
also been held and was judged by Helen
Taylor ARPS, DPAGB.
Helen is a very experienced photographer and
she gave us some constructive comments
on our entries, and her results were as

In addition to our Monday meetings we
have a monthly Audio Visual Group
Practical Evening where members can come
and learn more about making Audio
Visuals using Picurres to Exe, and a
monthly Practical evening, where members
come along and are given the opportunity
to practice with our studio lighting or
bring along their laptops and gain help
and advice on Photoshop techniques at
the same time as enjoying a more
informal evening of photography.
The first print competition of the
season will be held on 19th October
followed by “TWENTY MILE
IMAGES”/”HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND FROM
CAPTURE TO PRINT” being presented by two
of our members, Trevor Page & Paul Gavin

On Saturday 14th November we will be
hosting the Kent County Photographic
Association Audio Visual Competition,
Many entries have been received so far,
and it will prove to be a very
entertaining day.
