What a great example the striking teachers from The Churchill School set for the pupils this morning (30 June), by picketing outside the school gates.

More than 600 students from Romney Marsh, Ashford and Shepway enjoyed the opportunity to discover the wealth of career opportunities on their doorsteps on May 6 and 7 when they visited the Romney Marsh Skills Festival.

I've never heard so much utter rubbish spoken by an allegedly serious group of people.

Dover College is opening a brand new music school in its grounds in Dover, and who better to inspire young musicians than Julian Lloyd Webber.

Ofsted inspectors have marked up The Churchill Primary School in Hawkinge at their recent inspection, which took place during this month's heavy snowfall on 2–3 December 2010.
 

With more bad weather expected into the New Year, Kent County Council (KCC) revised its guidance to schools earlier this year to help head teachers and governing body chairmen make advanced preparations so they can open as usual.

The Dover College Infant and Junior School Council came up with the idea of a special Charity Day to raise funds for the school’s annual Charity, Pegasus Playscheme.

The decision by headteacher Jennie Carter at The Churchill School in Hawkinge, to stay open during the heavy snowfalls last week, has made the national press and brought a favourable response from an Ofsted spokesman.

Gerry Holden, currently Headmaster of Rendcomb College in Gloucestershire, is to become the new Headmaster of Dover College from September 2011, the school has announced.
