£200,000 boost to make cycling safer in Kent

Cycling safety in Kent has received a boost after the county council was awarded £200,000 by the Department for Transport to expand its Bikeability Cycle training scheme.

Road safety barrier removal protest shows level of anger in Folkestone

Despite very short notice over 30 people gathered outside the Sure Start Children's Centre in Dover Rd, Folkestone to protest at KCC Highways arbitrary removal of road safety barriers in the town.

Hawkinge Gatso snaps just 26 of 732 motorists speeding in Shepway - but camera will stay

A total of 732 motorists were caught speeding by the five fixed speed cameras sited across Shepway in 2010 according to official figures just released.

MEP wins European support for UK 20mph urban speed limit which is to be trialed outside Maidstone schools

Kent County Council has launched its motorcyclist road safety campaign after it was revealed, that across the county, 376 motorcyclists have been killed or seriously injured over the last 3 years.
