A map which appears to show where Shepway District Council will install pay and display machines in Folkestone has been released to the local Labour party ahead of the official launch in June.

I read with interest this week's front page stories, in the local printed press, reporting a mass jobs exodus from Folkestone by local employer SAGA, due to the current parking debate about free on street parking being removed.

A report of Wednesday's meeting of Shepway District Council's Scrutiny Committee (11 January) says a number of Tory members of the Conservative controlled council are now opposing the proposed parking scheme.
