The hugely popular Hevy Music Festival is returning to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford for the fourth year.

The newly formed Dover Youth Community Choir has received £500 to buy music and hire practice halls from a Kent Police auction of stolen and lost goods.

Bigger and better than ever, the 2011 Folkestone Skabour Festival was a Rocksteady hit with the thousands of Ska and reggae fans who converged in Folkestone at the weekend.

After the huge success of it’s first year in 2010, Folkestone Skabour Festival will be back in September with a weekend of worldwide renowned Ska acts and DJs.

With opera, leider, chanson, art song, chamber and choral music and musical theatre, there will be something for everyone to enjoy at a special concert to be staged in Folkestone.

Local musicians are to perform a festive charity concert in the style of 'The Last Night of the Proms' next week.

The New Jersey band Dillinger Escape Plan are to set to headline Hevy Festival in Shepway this summer.
