91st birthday celebration for Rupert Bear in Canterbury

Soldiers take part in Operation Nightingale at Folkestone (Photos)

Kent Tudor Barn scoops English Heritage Angel Award

The inaugural winners of the Daily Telegraph English Heritage Angel Awards include the Smythe Barn at Westenhanger near Hythe which scooped the prize for the best craftsmanship employed on a heritage rescue.

Folkestone Lift closes for essential maintenance

Folkestone Roman Villa to feature on BBC television

The archaeological dig at the Roman villa on Folkestone’s East cliff, part of the project A Town Unearthed: Folkestone before 1500, will feature in the first programme of the second series of BBC 2’s Digging for Britain to be broadcast on Friday 9 September at 9.00 pm.
