With half-term almost upon us, the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership, Green Gang will be out and about having lots of outdoor fun events.

Magistrates at Folkestone have ordered a landowner to allow the public onto land that had been fenced off at Capel-le-Ferne.

Transition Hythe, a local environmental group, is holding an open meeting on Wednesday 1st February at South Road Pavilion, Hythe, from 7.30pm where they will be offering lots of green advice.

HEdGe,  the Hawkinge Environment Group will be holding a meeting next week for people interested in the local environment.

A public meeting last night (10 January), to discuss the Kent County Council (KCC) consultation document to save money with the possible closure of Hawkinge and Richborough tips, brought an angry response from the 150 or so people who attended.
