Superfast broadband will be coming to Kent after the government agreed a £10million package of funding to help make it happen.

Young Dover College pupils, some as young as 8-years-old held special computer classes last week as part of the Digital Champions initiative to help improve their parents' and grandparents' computer skills.

People living in Greatstone, Lydd on Sea and Dungeness are being urged to tell Shepway District Council how improved Broadband connections could change their lives.

Shepway communities are set to benefit from nearly £1 million to be given to communities to help provide broadband services.

Alexis, the government and councils are not allowed to intervene in areas where it is viewed that private enterprise and business are able to solve the problem, which applies to most urban areas.
