£40million jobs and business boost for East Kent

Local businesses will be able to apply for interest-free loans provided they have plans to grow their company and employ more people, after Kent County Council launched a massive £40 million Government-backed scheme to boost the East Kent economy.

Eurotunnel ponders bid for running French Channel ports

According to the Port Technology website, cross channel carrier Eurotunnel, based at Folkestone and Coquelles, has expressed an interest in the Côte d’Opale Chamber of Commerce's bid for the running of the French ports of Calais and Boulogne.
