Soldiers from 3rd battalion The Parachute Regiment were under attack from petrol bombs and missiles as they fought running battles with protesters as part of an exercise in 'public order training' at Lydd Army Training Base in Kent last week.

Plans to cut 400 Gurkhas from the armed forces have been called ‘disrespectful’ by the local Folkestone and Hythe Labour Party and they are planning a protest against the Government decision to slash their jobs.
