Thieves broke into the Murco garage in High Street, Dymchurch, and escaped with a large quantity of cigarettes and tobacco in the early hours of Tuesday (3 January 2012).

The burglary took place at around 4.00am when intruders broke a window to get into the cashier’s area and then forced open the cigarette locker.

Packets of cigarettes were dropped as they made their escape,  believed to be in the direction of Sea Wall.

Anyone with information or who witnessed suspicious activity at the garage early yesterday is urged to contact Kent Police on 01303 289453 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
