The Hawkinge Community Football and Sports Trust are hosting a taster day for 'New Age Kurling' on Friday (20 January) between noon and 8.00pm at the football ground Pavilion off Incinerator Road.

It is based on the winter version of the game of curling, which is played on ice, but New Age Kurling can be played on any smooth surface.

The game allows able bodied and disabled, young and old alike to compete together and has become so popular that it is played in forty seven countries worldwide.

The session on Friday is free of charge and if there is enough interest it is possible that a new club will be formed in the town.

For more information please contact Andy Parker on 07812110384.
