Can I repeat earlier warnings for readers to be on alert for fraudulent emails, pretending to be from your online bank.

I have just received two of these this very week, one which was a copy of my one bank website and another for HSBC, which I have never used.

They report a security alert and say your account is frozen and request you to input your details to re-open your account.

On no account should you do this, but contact your bank security to report these emails. The main giveaway is usually some minor spelling or grammatical error in the text.

However, by being targeted it could show you have been attacked by a virus on your PC and it would be wise to take precautions and change your online passwords, which should in any case be done monthly.
