Police CCTV appeal following Cheriton sex assault

Police have released the image of a man they want to talk to in connection with a serious sexual assault in the Cheriton Park area of Folkestone on Saturday night (9 July).


The image is taken from CCTV on the number 71 bus that runs between Folkestone bus station, past the Central rail station, along Cheriton Road/ High Street then turns left at the Co-op store onto Risborough Lane.

 

The man got off outside Prince of India restaurant.


Later in the evening between 11pm and 11.30pm it was reported that two girls had been walking in the park with a man, described as black, 6ft to 6ft 2ins, slim, with short, black hair and stubble on his face.

The girls parted and one of them, aged 14, later reported she had been sexually assaulted.


Police also want to speak with two men who offered to help the girl in Stanley Road following the attack.
