New football facilities are great for the youth in Hawkinge

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Date set for grand opening of £¾million Hawkinge Football Pavilion (Photo)

Well done to all concerned in this project.

Lets hope this will be the first of future activities in Hawkinge.

Having coached basketball for the past 10 years I know there is a need for physical activities for our youngsters.

We much regret being unable to complete the takeover of the Spitfire Leisuredrome and meet the need for indoor activities.

Hawkinge basketball teams walked off with all the medals at a recent Shepway tournament I am sure their level of fitness will add to their skills with similar results.

Well done everyone!

Yours

Don Veale
