A new £1.3 million permanent indoor tennis centre in Deal is all set to open on 1 July.

The steel and brick structure features four indoor acrylic courts alongside the Tides Leisure Pool in Deal.

The centre will be run by Vista Leisure which already manages Tides and Dover Leisure Centre.

Funding for the project has been provided by the Lawn Tennis Association, Sport England and Dover District Council, and includes monies from the insurance settlement following the destruction, by storm force winds, of the previous ‘airhall’ in 2007.
