Body discovered in wooded area of Folkestone

The body of a man has been found by police in a wooded area of the Warren in Folkestone.


The grim discovery was made last night (21 December 2011) by officers who had been searching for a 60-year-old man  reported missing from his Hythe home earlier in the day.

The Police helicopter assisted in the search and HM Coastguard helped police after the man’s body was found at 7.30pm.

The identity of the man is not known and a  formal identification is yet to be take place.


The death is not believed to be suspicious.
